Anita and Travis’s Eagle Falls elopement
Every now and then we get to be a part of a wedding that is so special, we tell ourselves "it's going to be hard to top this one." Anita and Travis' intimate elopement at breathtaking Eagle Falls was one of those special days. From the moment we got off the phone, we knew their day was one we'd be excited and honored to film.
Both Anita and Travis are adventurous, love the outdoors, and knew they wanted to get married somewhere that would speak to that part of their passion. They also knew that they wanted the elopement to be intimate with only three of their dearest friends present to witness the occasion. When the original plan fell through to hike to the top of Mt. Pilchuk at sunrise, I could tell they were a little disappointed. But their adaptability and willingness to trust the amazing Jessi from Echo Photography to choose a new location led us to Eagle Falls, which turned out to be the perfect place for their elopement. They got ready in a beautiful cabin where the sound of the river could be heard and seen from the deck. It was peaceful and, thanks to Anita + Travis, filled with warmth and kindness. I felt like I was on vacation with lifelong friends instead of working.
One of the things that made the day so enjoyable was their complete trust in both Jessi and us to not only choose the First Look location but also the ceremony location. As a videographer, being surrounded by such natural beauty in every direction made me feel like a kid in a candy store. Anita and Travis were amazing to work with and so natural in front of the cameras. They made my job easy.
From the beauty of the surroundings to the relaxing and easy going vibe that Anita and Travis emit, this day will go down as one of my all-time favorites.
