“Love Actually” inspired wedding at Seattle’s Rainier Club
One of the first things we learned about Alyssa is she has an affinity for a certain early 2000’s Christmas movie. Maybe you’ve heard of Love Actually? Who are we kidding, of course you have!
One of our favorite scenes in Love Actually is, in our house, simply dubbed “the wedding scene.” You know the one. It’s when Kiera Knightly and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s characters get married, and right after they say “I do” and turn to walk down the aisle, a surprise choir comes out and sings “All You Need Is Love” A little brass section pops out from amongst the guests, and everyone is cheering and laughing and loving this bit of unexpected magic.
This. Happened. At. Alyssa. And. Jeremy’s. Wedding!!!
Alyssa’s mom planned the whole thing as an ode to her daughter’s love of the film. And just like in the movie, Alyssa, Jeremy and all their guests laughed and clapped and sang along. And just like the movie, is was full of magic <3
