MICHELLE + JOE | New York Wedding

We'd never been to New York until Joe and Michelle invited us to the East Coast to be their cinematographers for their big day -- and we are so glad they did! We got to fall in love with the city AND be a part of watching these two pledge their love to one another. It was perfect!

Not only do these two look amazing (I mean seriously, THAT dress!), but they know how to throw a party! After a gorgeous garden ceremony behind the C.V. Rich Mansion in Rochester County, they brought the fun inside for one of the most exciting receptions we've been a part of! From the best man's tricycle entrance and the bride's mad rap skills, to the groom's rendition of  a Bruce Springsteen song (complete with American flag bandana around his head) and a limbo contest, it's safe to say everyone left talking about this wedding.

A huge congratulations to Michelle + Joe -- we are so grateful you chose us to be a part of your day, and we hope you treasure your wedding film for many happy years! {PRESS PLAY}

ASHLEY + SPENCER | Vows We'll Never Forget

Ashley and Spencer are a couple full of life -- spunky, excited and filled with so much love for each other that it almost feels contagious.

Spencer and Ashley wrote their own vows, which is always a favorite of ours. Not only do they feel raw and emotional, but handwritten vows always make great audio for a wedding film ;) So when Spencer and Ashley told us they were writing their own vows, we listened in anticipation for what they were going to say (something we always do -- because the vows are the best part of a ceremony IMO!) But this time was different. This time, our groom was up to something none of us saw coming . . .

Spencer shows us his one-of-a-kind vows. Then words in red come together to show 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Spencer shows us his one-of-a-kind vows. Then words in red come together to show 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Spencer wove 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 into his vows: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

As he read his personal vows to Ashley, he was also promising to love her in the same way Christ loves us. Just thinking about the power of his vows gives me chills.

We truly believe in deep and strongly rooted marriages, and Spencer gave us an incredible reminder that Christ is the one who plants our marriages deeply -- firmly rooted in Him. Spencer, you're off to an amazing start loving your bride with the ultimate example as your guide.

And finally, their wedding film -- see the spunk, the excitement, the love and THOSE vows! {Press Play}

We're always a little bummed when we're not able to meet with couples in person before their wedding, but also incredibly humbled that they trust us to capture their day having only talked with us over the phone or Skype. Lucky for us, Meagan and Brooks trusted us (nearly) sight unseen after our Skype chat cut out one to many times and a phone call had to suffice. Still, Meagan's bubbly personality shone through the phone and we were excited to be a part of her big day!

Once Meagan and Brook's wedding day came, it couldn't have been a better "official meeting." We got to run around the cutest little PNW town, Port Gamble, where picket fences, country stores, and even wandering deer brought lots of charm! Married in the cute Port Gamble Chapel with a reception overlooking the sound, the sun shined brightly and the newlyweds shined even brighter, making for a pretty incredible day!

To top it all off, Brooks had a special surprise for his bride. He sang a song especially for her during the reception, just a groom and his guitar. It was an honor to capture such a vulnerable moment between the newlyweds, as Brooks sang to his bride and Meagan took it all in (with a few tears of course!). Lucky for us, Brooks sounded amazing and we were able to take his audio and make it the soundtrack for their wedding film. How romantic is that?!  We're thrilled to show you Meagan + Brooks {Press Play}

Hands down, Tanya and Andy have one of the sweetest loves we've had the privilege of capturing. The excitement they had to become husband and wife is so easily seen in their wedding film -- the anticipation, the longing, the pure adoration in their eyes. Being a part of their wedding day is something for which we'll always feel grateful.

If all they had was their love, it would have been more than enough. But on of top that, they threw a glamorous wedding at The Golf Club at Newcastle that was styled to the last detail with the help of Perfectly Posh Events. Overlooking the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle with blue skies and an amazing sunset, this day couldn't have been more perfect. Congratulations Tanya + Andy -- we hope your marriage will be filled with as much joy as your wedding day!
